NAB-A-DATE! EQUITY STAGE READING - NOVEMBER 15 AT THE MINT THEATER =====================================================================

Steve Engelbrecht (Producer) cordially invites you to experience Nab-a-Date!, a new musical comedy by Lee Cavellier, in its New York debut. We will be holding a staged reading of the show on Monday, November 15th, 2010 at the Mint Theater in midtown Manhattan, and are planning an off-Broadway run in 2011.

The show stars Brian Charles Rooney (B'way: The Threepenny Opera, Camelot, Joe's Pub) as the host, Kelly Lee, Trent Armand Kendall (B'way: Into the Woods, Purlie, Wizard of Oz, Best Little Whorehouse in Texas) as Tommy, the bachelor, along with Erin Cronican, Thomas Poarch, Elyssa Samsel, Richard B. Watson and Lexi Windsor. Under the direction of James Valletti (Tales from the Tunnel) and musical supervisor David Snyder, this is sure to be an exciting evening of live theatre.

Nab-a-Date! has been optioned and will be seeking outside producers and associate producers to participate in a first class commercial run.

PERFORMANCE TIMES:

There will be 3 performances on Monday, November 15th.

- 12:30 PM - 30 minute showcase performance. A light lunch will be provided at 1:00 in an informal "meet and mingle".

- 3:00 PM - Full 90-minute performance

- 7:30 PM - Full 90-minute performance and champagne toast

Please feel free to request tickets for colleagues and investors, but note that space is very limited and we are hoping to introduce the show to as wide an audience as possible. For this reason, not all ticket requests will be honored. We will send an email confirming your reservation and the number of tickets for your party.

We will open the seats to the public on Friday, November 5th, so please send ticket requests ASAP.

A BRIEF SYNOPSIS:

At a performance of Nab-a-Date!, you're viewing a "live taping" of the world's first and only musical dating show, where three bachelorettes battle for the heart of one lucky man through song, dance, and some very personal questions.

Smooth-talking host Kelly Lee is your musical matchmaker, inviting our bachelor, Tommy, to carefully assess the voices and vices of the lovely ladies to determine which of them can steal his heart and satisfy his longing for love. But of course, nothing's ever that simple... The show's producer has a burning desire for the spotlight, and things get ugly when he shows he's willing to sabotage the taping to get what he wants!

With side-splitting humor and jazzy, upbeat music by writer and composer Lee Cavellier, Nab-A-Date! will have you snapping your fingers and laughing till it hurts as you realize, along with the contestants, that it's all about love.
